Probably, if the 2.7 CRD works in the same way like the 4.7, but I am not sure, you can bypass the ASD relay to have the Jeep running; but if it works, consider that this is a band aid fix and you shoud have to reprogram some control units.
G. Globetrotter Discussion starter. 220 posts 路 Joined 2014. #1 路 Oct 12, 2015. The viscous heater on my 2.7 CRD cycles at about 10 - 15 second intervals, ie clutch engages for 10 - 15 seconds, drops out for about the same time, re engages and so on. Is this right?

1 Answer. 2.7 crd.grand cherokee 2002. Varying idling speed,dimmng lights. It is a 2.7 crd. When the engine is idling, the idling speed keeps increasing and decreasing at the same pace all the time. It is much worse when I am using the headlights which keep dimming down and coming back up to normal with the varying idle speed of the engine.
